Hackney received numerous honors for his efforts this past season on the football field.  As an offensive lineman, he was named to the Joplin Globe All-Area First Team, Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association First Team, Big 8 Conference First Team and Missouri Class 4 All-State Second Team.  He also received Second Team honors in the Big 8 for his play as a defensive lineman.
