The Carthage offense was
kicking on all cylinders
in Friday's first half,
with quarterback Trey
Derryberry completing 7
of 7 passes for 232
yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Tigers picked up
another 150 yards on the
ground in the first two
quarters, adding three
touchdown runs.
Carthage's defense got
in on the action,
picking up a fumble and
returning it 45 yards
for their other
first-half score.
Tack on five extra point
kicks and the Tigers led
47-0 at halftime.
The Bulldogs got on the
board with their second
possession of the third
quarter, a 5-play,
53-yard drive culminated
by Chase Price's 1-yard
touchdown run. Nii
Abrahams added the extra
point.

Thompson lofted a pass
into the end zone and
the throw was hauled in
by a leaping Jansen
Adams. Abrahams'
second PAT pulled the
Bulldogs to within
47-14, a score that
stood for the remainder
of the game.
Thompson finished 7 of
15 for 70 yards, one
touchdown and one
interception. The
Bulldogs had 34 carries
for 105 total rushing
yards.
