Game 4

Porath shuts down Carthage

Carl Junction, behind the shutout pitching of junior Zak Porath, toppled Carthage 4-0 Wednesday afternoon in a makeup of a game rained out Tuesday.  The victory moves the Bulldogs to 3-1 on the season.

Porath allowed four hits and only one walk while striking out 14 Tiger hitters.  He moved his pitching record to 2-0, with both wins coming against the Tigers.

Brit Cacopardo drove in one of the four runs for the Bulldogs, which were all unearned due to several errors by the Carthage defense.  The Bulldogs return to action at home today at 4:30, entertaining Riverton.
